Women are most fertile in their teens and 20’s. After 35 there is a steady decline in one’s ability to conceive.  Medical assistance  should be sought by those who have been trying to conceive for a year or more (after 6 months if the woman is over 35).  Referrals for infertility specialists may be found at www.ASRM.org or www.pcrsonline.org. Data on in vitro fertilization (IVF) in the US and other infertility information is available on the CDC website (www.CDC.gov/ART) which publishes a lengthy annual report.   Also visit www.Resolve.org and www.TheAFA.org.
